Random Abstract

I was going through some images I took in 2007 and came across today’s post. I don’t shoot the abstract too often, but sometimes a scene just has to be photographed. This image was taken inside of a deserted power station along the old Northern Pacific rail line between Ringling and Martinsdale, MT. Quite an amazing building, its old brick personality just begs to be explored. While snooping around one day, I saw the stark contrast of these ‘portals’ in the darkness and used them to study angles in composition. The results were all quite interesting, but this became my favorite. Any views on abstract out there?
