YNP, I - Color

There wasn’t much light in the Park to work with on Thursday and Friday, but it was still a great trip. Sunrise on Friday gave a few hints of color and so I did my best to take advantage of it. I don’t fancy myself a wildlife photographer, but if the critters are there I’m going to snap the shot.

  1. The lone wolf shot is incredible. Looks like a high ISO setting was used, but I feel that it adds to the shot. I envy you for living so close to such a wonderful place.

  2. Hi Jeff, thank you for your comment. The critter is actually a coyote, but quite a bulky fellow with its thick winter coat. The ISO was definitely a bit high, but I also discovered recently that an error in my output process when saving images for web use that’s been adding noise and unwanted texture to my images…which I wasn’t seeing until I recalibrated my monitor a few week ago. This one looks like a prime candidate… I feel fortunate to call such an amazing place home, I just hope that my work inspires others to get out and do some exploring of their own environment. Again, I appreciate you taking a moment to share some feedback.
