Winter Framed

As I’ve hinted at on my portfolio site, I’m almost ready to announce the latest project I’ve been working on for the past few months (and also what’s kept me away from updating this blog for the past few days). It involves 7 fine art photographers spread across 4 continents, all amazing artists and I’m proud to be among them. Be sure to check back this coming Monday for the news!

Today’s image is another taken at the Upper Terrace in Yellowstone NP, and is nearly identical to one I posted a few weeks ago (top image in set). On this morning the light was just working its way over distant mountains and helped in my framing of the subject tree. There are some interesting lines working in the borders…some rather straight, others quite gnarled. I’m still trying to make up my mind how much I like the way the image comes together, but it’s still a pretty shot overall.
