Off The Grid

I wanted to let you all know that I’ll be out of town until this coming Tuesday evening. I’m headed off on a 60-mile raft trip through the Middle-of-nowhere, Montana, and will be quite ‘off the grid’. I had anticipated creating posts ahead of time and scheduling them to go ‘live’ on the proper day, but I’ve just not been able to make it happen. This latest adventure, however, should yield a lot of great pictures and a story or two, so be looking for the first of those on Wednesday morning…

  1. Have an awesome time rafting! I had heard it had turned cold again out your way, but I’m sure it could be in the 70’s again come Monday. Is this a recent shot? Eeks, yes I see you’ve tagged it a “Spring” photo. Beautiful with all the little islands of snow. Have a great weekend.

  2. And exactly how hard is it to go to middle-of-nowhere Montana? I seem to recall looong streaches of road with no signs of humans around (except the road of course).

  3. Thanks for your comments guys.

@Diane - The rafting trip was a blast, thanks Diane. :-) The image for this post is a spring image…taken just a few days prior. It’s been 55-65 one day, then snowing the next for about two weeks. We get crazy, crazy weather…

@Ramin - You’re quite right, middle-of-nowhere in Montana is about a 15-minute drive away. It’s growing and more land is being built upon now then ever before, but it’s still a very quiet place with plenty of remoteness. I have a feeling it’ll be like that for a very long time…I hope at least. Thanks for your comment, Ramin.
