Color on High

Today was without question one of the best photo days I’ve ever had.  My buddy, Jay, and I headed north to the Martinsdale Reservoir about 1:30pm with perfect clouds filling the sky and nothing but stunning scenes to behold.  It occurred to me at one point that when you live in places congested with countless other people, what you think about is “people”.  But when you live in a place with very few others and so much natural beauty…you tend to think about “the world”.

  1. Yeah, that is stunning, and I think you’re pretty right. One takes what one gets, but I think that’s not a bad thing. That’s what makes me a happy photographer even when I am in Vienna, just like this weekend :)

  2. Very nice Code.

  3. @Andreas - I was afraid the last comment I made in the post would be taken as me being pretentious, but I just put it out there. I agree, we each take what we get, I just feel fortunate that I’m from such a pristine place. I’d gladly trade you two weeks in MT for two weeks in Austria, though…including Vienna. My trip there in 2004 was far too short! :-)

@Jack - Thanks for the comment, DG. (Though when you sign things ‘Jack’ instead of your name, I think it’s a comment from my father…)

  4. Wow Cody, that is just a lovely image.

  5. All I’ll take ‘the world’ over ‘people’ anytime…

That is a really great shot.

  6. @Vicki - Thanks, m’friend.

@Ramin - And to you as well, thank you. I hate to sound like I’m on a soapbox, but I love very much where I’m from. Vicki lives here too, she knows! :-)
