It Comes, It Goes

Just another quick post today.  This photo from Paradise Valley is one of my favorite areas to visit that is within 20 minutes of town.  Quick trips are great filler for an evening of boredom or longing.

  1. Interesting. It has definitely the effect of a fence that runs through the image, i.e. keeping you away of the background, and that is normally said to be a no-no. Here it is not, and I think the reason is, that the whole foreground is dark. We are put into a dark room, condemned to see the beauty of the world and to nat take part in it. Of course this has only the effect to highten the remote beauty.

Uhhh, yes, I’d call that a masterpiece :)

  2. Gorgeous photo, the sky is incredible. It kinda reminds me of being at the theatre where the audience (the trees) is in shadow (or silhouette) and they’re watching a wonderful play center stage.

  3. I’m glad you both picked up on the effect I was going for here. I tried thinking of better title, something along the lines of ‘Audience’ as that’s how it felt for me too, but in the end I went for a comment on the sun. :-) Andreas, your words are very thoughtful and kind, thank you very much for your continued support. And Diane, I feel like we have ‘talked’ in weeks! Thank you for you insight as well, much appreciated. Hope you’re both doing well.
