Beartooth Butte

Though not nearly as dynamic as my last post, I thought a panorama would be a good follow-up.  Taken a few days ago along the Montana/Wyoming border in the amazing Beartooth Mountains, this lakeside view is comprised of five separate images.  Unfortunately, I forgot to remove my polarizing filter and it resulted in a darkening of the sky to the right of Beartooth Butte.  Gotta remember that in the future…

  1. Beautiful, serene shot. Love the composition with alternating light and shadow.

  2. Hey Diane, hope you’re doing well. Yes, another pleasant western evening. Just up the mountain it was blowing like crazy, but down here the sounds of nature were all that could be heard. The alternating light was fantastic along this stretch of road, though felt like I was arriving a half-hour late everywhere I went - one of those days again. :-) Still, a beautiful place to visit and a good time doing so!
