Riding the Line

I decided to go back over the images from my trip to the Gravelly Mountains about a month ago and this one grabbed me.  Beyond the road, as it applies to today’s title, there is also the dark storm which had been teasing for hours yet never overtaking me.  Along its edge I drove for most of the day, presenting a number of dynamic scenes such as this one while riding the line of light.

  1. This photo is such a beauty in B&W (duotone) Cody! It would be so great to see it really large to be able to appreciate all the shades from “almost” white to black. Love the “S” curve and how it leads your eye thru the scene. That must have been quite a storm to watch, what a sky!

  2. Hi Diane. I’m SO behind on comments and posting! Goodness. Glad you like this one, I agree that it would look great printed large. I printed a winter scene printed once at 3×5 feet and it was amazing. One of these days I’m hoping to have a gallery so I can print them all that large! :-)
